    Hi , I also swapped my Capri 3000 Ghia for a Hilman Avenger and cash to take her on holiday .
    Only intended to keep it a few months ,18months later we got married ,brought a house and was stuck with this Avenger for another 12months .
    Only though to be fair , this orange Avenger was so reliable , the father in law ended up with it

    Now that, Soulman, must have been love! 😁

    That said, while the Capri was certainly "***ier" (for want of a better word), I seem to remember that the Avenger did pretty well in motorsport at the time and compared with most cars of the period was better made and handled better?
