He did, but as mentioned he was hounded out by a small section of fans.

It was after a home defeat to Soton, they chased him down the street and surrounded his car, threatening him… it was only then he went on strike.

They had to sell, they were charged with a points deduction that would have been much bigger if they had not, he was the only player that they really could cash in on, and got all money upfront, and got a sell on clause (10 - 15%) of any profit in the future.

My reading of the current situation is he’s told the club he wants to move, but that’s massively different to Isak… so I would not compare the 2 situations or even call him out for going on strike at Everton… I think the club is protecting his value by not risking him for the remainder of the season.

Last point, I would be surprised if he ends up at Bayern… who would you play… Gordon or Diaz? They don’t need him, do not see Bayern paying the kind of fee we would be insisting on, unless they sell Diaz that is.
