    O/T Dubois v Wardley

    Anyone see it?

What an absolute dust up! I've never seen anything like it. Brutal. Can't believe it went on so long.

    Epic fight.

As much as it was one of the best fights seen in many a year, I thought it was disgustingly deplorable that Wardley's corner sent him out for that last beating.

Even at the start of that last round, the Ref halted the fight and took him back to his corner to have his cuts looked at yet they still sent him back out and he took a right hammering before the Ref dove in to stop him getting anymore badly injured, shocking!

I totally agree Brin, those last two rounds were a difficult watch. He still came out trying to knock Dubois' head off though!

Wondering whether Wardley might need some serious recuperation time after such a beat down, hope there's no lasting damage there.

Great atmosphere and fight was a pleasure to witness it. However the ref should have stopped it or the doctor. Negligence

    Hear hear.
I've always wondered how anything can be classed as a sport when the primary objective is to injure your opponent.

It will just go underground in unlicensed bouts. It already does at some levels.

I'm not sure what point you're making Pocket.
I can't see how repeatedly pounding someone's head and body can be ok just because it's run by professional organisations.
The irony is that some people think heading a ball in football should be banned.

Because some people enjoy it. I understand you don’t but some do. I’ve boxed got over 40 years and I enjoy it. It will happen either way so may as well try and regulate it as much as possible. Banning it will only make it worse.
