I have been involved in politics for a good few years now and the current Labour lot are a disgrace.

They are arrogant, vindictive (especially to non-Corbyn Labour members, who are their REAL enemy) and they live in their own Stalinist fantasy world. They hate successful businesses and anyone who has a few bob.

Six years ago they would have been members of the SWP or the Communists but they are now running the Labour party and slowly purging it of any dissidents.

I believe that they will win the next election and the country will suffer badly. The lunatics have taken over the asylum.
Spoken like a true Lib Dem. Remind me? What are they again?

    Evening BT!

I'll defend the Lib Dems to the hilt, but the reality is that the opinion polls are showing Tories 42%, Labour 42%, Lib Dems 8%.
I reckon we will pick up soon, I don't think the nation will remain as polarised between hard right and hard left as it is at the moment, but the next government will be Labour in my opinion.
And they will be beholden to their paymasters - the ultra left wing unions - gawd help us all.

And five years of hard Labour is not a sentence that I am looking forwards to.

Mass nationalisation, spending £200 billion on "bringing the PFI's back", massively taxing our successful companies who bring in our wealth and basically writing a blank cheque to all potential voters.

They are economically illiterate, unfortunately so are a lot of voters who are taken in by promises of jam tomorrow, free beer tomorrow, and we will not have to pay a penny.

Alas, it will take a Labour Government to bring the country to it's senses- before they realise that they have just been taken for mugs.
Labour will then be in the wilderness for yonks and THAT is when the Lib Dems will look like a realistic, attractive offer.

Well didn’t Labour bankrupt the country in 2010. Off to the wilderness for 7 years and folk want them back with a more extreme form of largesse and communist backers. There’s nowt so queer as folk!

Funny time in politics right now OC.

The vast majority are supporting extreme parties with very little support for more moderate policies.

Brexit has split the country right down the middle and people are still entrenched.

Voters are not willing to support "normal" parties, and this seems to be happening worldwide at the moment.

The majority of people have little interest in politics until election time, and then they can't ignore it. At the moment they vote against things and not positively for something.

And they are easily led by a few well chosen sound bites instead of looking more deeply into issues.

Great stuff 59-60, I love watching lefties falling out with each other.

This 'hard right' you're talking about, where is it ? UKIP were never hard right, despite the efforts of the BBC, Guardian, LibDems and Labour to portray them as such, and anyway I'm not sure they're even a going concern now, so we can forget about them. You surely can't say this bunch of wet, useless Tories are 'hard right', the majority of them are still in thrall to the EU, they want to put workers on boards, cap energy prices, they continually shovel billions at the NHS and make no move to reform it, they're running down our armed forces, they've increased the minimum wage and old age pensions far more than Labour ever did, there's plenty more but do I need to go on ? This lot are Red Tories, certainly to to the left of Blair's New Labour. As I've said before Mrs T would be spinning in her grave if she could see these useless halfwits masquerading as Conservatives.

One other point, on other subjects like Brexit, you seem to have an affinity with youth, you didn't seem to think it fair that older generations hadn't voted the way that youth had, and we were wrecking their life chances. Well it's the younger generation that are going to put Corbyn and the hard left into power, so I don't think it fair of you to moan about it, it's their future isn't it ?

The most extreme policy on offer currently from any political party is that one proposing to overturn the democratically expressed wish of the electorate to leave the EU. To arbitrarily reverse the result of a referendum in a democratic country is about as extreme as it gets, and we all know which party is proposing that.

While another man sits warm, comfy and prosperous in Bolton, posting photos and doing feck all about it, except spouting virtue- signalling platitudes. But that's being a Socialist for you, showing how much you care. Still, if it makes you feel better about yourself carry on, it does feck all for the world's poor and starving though.
