We’ve managed to let go the best one we’ve had in the last 5 years in Diagne, a player who was perfect for this system.

Cauley Woodrow is still languishing at Barnsley and would suit us, I’m sure there’s a good few other out there as well.

Why are we so bad at choosing number 9’s?

It frustrates the f u c k out of me.

Callum Morton is better than the lump we are playing most weeks!
Agreed. When you see that Hugill has about 10 touches a half, runs around like he doesn't know where to be and misses big chances, you just think what damage could it do to play a promising kid. At the very least we give the youth some optimism that they might get into the first team at some point and then we might actually just get them to sign on.

We miss the likes of O'shea and Mowatt and we don't have a natural goal scorer or playmaker but have played much better in the past. We also make increasingly more stupid defensive errors. What happened to the commitment of earlier games and fighting for every ball? They are not the best set of players we have had by a very long call but they are certainly capable of far better so why aren't they? Team selection and tactics are down to Val but surely team and individual attitude is also greatly influenced by the manager too?
    My thoughts exactly

Stay. If we were 3rd from bottom go. were 3rd from top, long way to go.

I remember all of the strikers that you have mentioned and yes, they were all quality and knew where the back of the net was. However, as you say, in the recent past our scouting system has failed us badly. Lack of funds is one reason but when we have spent money it's been on players who are just not out and out strikers to lead the line. Grant prefers to come in from the left. Robinson is similar. Both would benefit from an out and out striker to play alongside. Having said this, why bring in Hugill? His record is not prolific and couldn't get in the Norwich side. But he was cheap! Surely though, with an efficient scouting system, there are players out there who would fit the bill.

Ffs stop trying to spin everything anti val. You're definitely wong about him It's your hero who is responsible and it is that same hero that paid £2m for a bloke with 6 months experience in the championship when an outstanding candidate was deemed to be too outspoken.

If you cannot see that maybe write about panda bears mating in Beijing zoo, that may be a better tactic to deflect the criticsm away the c ??? Lai as most on here (other than you) know that we are being run by a pub team hierarchy who giveaway £2m and 4 year contracts like it is normal.

All and sundry know we are ripe to be taken advantage of under Ken, who knows foook all about football and is just here to say no to val and yes to the c???.
