No one can say what they would have contributed - perhaps more goals? Perhaps more assists for others to score more goals. Maybe we would have had more points.
Of course and we can't possibly know that but what's we do know, 100%, is what Harkes has done. Honestly though, I'd be pretty surprised if another player in this position during these games would have contributed in quite such a pivotal manner.

You must have gone looking in the same place as me!

I took interest in someones comparison between Harkes and Scott Fraser, and barring one important difference, their tenure at United is quite similar and they were even born on the same day! Harkes has 6 goals in 87 appearances, and Fraser 9 in 81. That difference though is Fraser did that as he was developing into a player and has gone on to for a fee 2 out of 3 times after leaving. Harkes should be reaching his potential right now, and as much as i like him as a player, if he isnt attracting potential suitors, i would question if he is good enough to deserve another contract.

Getting onto the comparison, and i am probably equally frustrated about both of them as i believe they are at a similar level, but one has improved and i dont see the other one as capable of that.

Were you Arab Plumber in an earlier life Ballumbie?
Reason I'm asking is that every Saturday night on Mad he'd come on & tell us that Stuart Armstrong played 'one good game in six'.
He didn't rate him at all.
One good game in six. Could Harkes be the new Armstrong?

Ach well some things never change.

Could be right there Smed's as Ballumbie Arab once fixed the ballcock valve in The Bedsit's outside facility.

Am i really seeing Harkes and Armstrong in the same sentence?

Someones at it with the Wikis as he too was born 30th March!

I go back to what i said about the Scott Fraser comparison that Armstrong was developing when he departed, but Harkes should be very close to being the complete player and he is nowhere near the level. If he was at that level, we would not be having this debate as he would have been signed up elsewhere and sitting on some cash by now!

No I’m not, been on here since 2003 ffs! 🤣
Stuart Armstrong was absolute class, oh for those days, and the regular 4-0 wins taking teams apart.

I think Arab Plumber was the boy in the Dode Lower who boo'ed Scott Fraser cos he flicked his hair in his goal celebration.
