From what I have seen and read, I have always liked Luke Garrard. Thought his post match interview last night was spot on. Seems to know the game well.
All academic at the moment I know.
Well if he does decide to leave (but I hope he doesn't) then he can take Bostock with him.

I rate Garrard as well. Boreham Wood are always a tough opposition because they're so well organised and tactically sound. I'm just not sure he has the qualities needed to mount a promotion push, however.

His odds have dropped to 6/1 and is now 3rd favourite. Maybe that's due to his interview last night. I'd have expected him to sidestep the question had there been something more in it and be a lot more cagey and defensive.

That he was quite open and forthcoming when asked about it and spoke about owing Notts something for giving him the opportunity suggests he doesn't believe anything will come of it.

I do rate LW he is a first class coach, but i think he has been suckered into thinking that JB was still a wonderkid. Personally I just dont rate him at all. I had my doubts the first time I saw him, and now I am 100% sure. Also, it now seems that others on here are having the same opinion...

It’s too early to say, the fact in the last 2 years he played quite a few games in L1 and obviously had played before some games in the the French top division and Forest a few games in the champ level would suggest he has the ability to play non league.
The questions are is he 100% up for it, is he still in top shape at 30 (should be) and can LW make it work.

Look, he's joined the club in good faith, has certainly tried his best so far, so doesn't deserve the opprobrium coming his way. We have to give him the chance to contribute.

It's not his fault we already have a midfield conundrum to solve - building a midfield around Palmer, who has one outstanding skill but is no great shakes attacking or defending. Replace Matty with JB, for rest or injury, and we still have exactly the same challenge! (A newly-confident Badger is the best answer we have, IMO)

Having survived a horrific car crash, I'm sure he can put things in perspective, but these negative rumblings are uncalled for. I think he's no more than Palmer's understudy for a promotion push, but let's keep in mind that he's done nothing wrong!

Agree Slack, clearly taleneted. But also not sure his 'solid' approach would go down well with sections of the Meadow Lane faithful.

Durham Pie I have spoken to a few Donny fans, they really rated him and said that he played further forward than he is with us and controlled the game.
I think he is far from match fit hence why he’s playing deeper.
Let’s play devils advocate and say Palmer got injured in the near future is Francis good enough especially against the better sides(don’t think LW thinks so)
When we go to Chesterfield and especially Wrexham away do you think LW might play Bostock and Palmer to control the midfield and try to take the sting out of them ?
I didn’t think Bostock played positive enough last night(although he was the only player that set on goal up) and he also showed Palmer’s weaknesses which are basically in the last 3rd of the pitch.
It was a gamble signing him especially after he hasn’t done a pre-season and not played for half a season but imagine in another month of match time what a difference he could make ?
I remember the doubters were on here at the start of the season about Baldwin and basically wrote him off as injury prone, old pals act etc but I for one think he’s been great for us.
Eli Sam was another that was wrote off very early and I think he was decent

Totally agree, he’s playing basically his pre season games now, LW said it would take time. It’s whether you relate the 4 points dropped recently solely down to JB to say it’s cost us. I didn’t see the Oldham game but I would say 3 or 4 last night were well below par.
