Then again maybe they did but just wouldn't. Nothing whatsoever against Tillson (second yellow a wee bit unlucky imo) but we have a lot of midfield cover and that wage could have gone on a striker.

Will be interesting to see if we sign an out of contract player. Or most likely don't.
There is no break coming up for our squad if said squad/JG is putting in the effort to win the Challenge cup. Really hope the physios give Louis a target of the week after, away to Partick for his comeback though.

The whole back up striker thing though, it has been mentioned on here about how few strikers are available these days, and i do trust that JG has been looking for someone, but when he lost 2 very important midfielders and his 3rd choice needed at RB, he brought in adequate cover.

Might there be someone out there for us? Im not so sure, but then why let McLeod go out on loan? Someone in on loan may hit the ground running, but someone out of contract will need time to get fit, never mind match fit, by which time Moult is back in and hitting the net again!

Had to endure the BBC Text feed while sitting in a pub in Sheepvile yesterday, oh, and with added erse cheeks at nearby tables! Thankfully the scenes in that pub upon seeing the score were restrained enough not to blow my cover!

Encouraging to see us digging a result out with 10 men and missing our main striker, but we might not be so lucky every week.

No need to panic, there's a goal threat throughout this side.

Well except Grimshaw McMann Gallacher Docherty Tillson Sibbald Meekison Middleton and Watt 😁

Just like last season, I am most certainly not panicking, but look where that go us!

However, Sibbald and Middleton have scored already, McMann i think has one coming, Tillson has had a few chances, Meekison apparently peppered the Caley goal yesterday, which leaves Gallacher and Docherty who will get chances as well. T Watt better start justifying the wage he is on and repaying the faith JG has in him now he is about to be given a chance!

    Wha needs a striker?

Yeah wasn't being factual just having a laugh. What you said about the Diddy Cup though, I was amazed when I saw we were risking injuries to key first team players in the last round. If JG does that again it's just crazy.

absolute nuts risking key players in that diddy cup, more to the point, what's the point in sticking guys like flynn Duffy on for 15 mins, what does that achieve? We might actually have to call on these guys so why not give them 90 mins and actually see if they are up to the task.

Yep. On balance I think were getting our loan programme right.
Rory MacLeod will benefit from his period at Forfar too.

Our recruitment for this campaign has been good, maybe just with that exception of striker cover.
If we had recruited Grimshaw Gallacher Holt Docherty Moult for last season we wouldn't be playing Championship football. Not even with a clown keeper.

    Just thinking out loud here...
We must be paying Denham something, he's obviously not going to feature, so why not send him back and use that wage towards a backup striker.
Ross Graham is there, Docherty, even McMann can fill an injury gap if required.
