Dee4Life Update - The Correct Facts

The Dee4life Chairman in his latest update mentions the letter signed ‘Dundee Football Club Ltd’ in reply to the Dee4life board of directors nomination of Kenny Valentine as their Primary Representative.
However the update does not contain the following very important information.
The last paragraph in the letter begins “Now it is your intention to force a Society member on the DFC board in a hostile manner, and as such we will treat such a request in accordance with the Articles of Incorporation (sic) and the regulatory framework of our governing bodies”.
American companies have Articles of Incorporation while U.K. companies including Dundee Football Club Limited have Articles of Association.
The above sentence should only contain the word ‘and’ once which should have resulted in two separate sentences.
At the Dee4life board of directors meeting on Tuesday 13th December 2022 most of the directors were more interested in trying to get a ‘face to face’ meeting with John Nelms about the future of Dens Park than replying to the ‘Dundee Football Club Ltd letter asking them to contact the governing bodies of Scottish Football regarding Kenny Valentine joining the Dundee Football Club Limited board of directors as the Dee4life Primary Representative.
I wanted the Dee4life Board of Directors to reply to the Letter asking John Nelms as the Dundee Football Club Limited managing director to contact the Governing Bodies of Scottish Football to agree to Kenny Valentine’s appointment as a Dundee Football Club Director but my pleas fell on stony ground.
Incidentally the minutes of the Dee4life board of directors meeting held on Tuesday 13th December 2022 which also contained other important information have never been posted in the Members section of the new Dee4life website.

Why not publish the letter? Genuine question. This he said, is often a source of conflict.

That is up to the Dee4life Chairman and board of directors to publish the letter which they have had in their possession since 7th December 2022 including name of the Dee4life Director who sent his own personal submission about the Camperdown development to About Planning Limited who were receiving submissions on behalf of Dark Blue Property Holdings Limited.
Deeranged might not be happy as it would prove in writing that it was not my personal submission.

Your whinging on social media has made a massive contribution though. it's not about one specific letter is it? 'Much of the anger' not all of the anger.

If you had not set up topic on Mad and also posting on Pravda without having the full facts none of this would have happened.
Thanks to another post a former Dee4life director has been dragged into this debate.
The simple solution is for Dee4life to post a update on their website stating the name of the Dee4life Director whose personal submission about the Camperdown development was quoted in full along with the Letter signed ‘Dundee Football Club Ltd’.

Seems to me you started it all with a post on Pravda. Disappointed because the first time Dee4life stand up and actually criticise in public the DFC board, something that you and others have been asking for for months, the topic goes off track.

Sorry BCram, I disagree. Islay started the whole thing years ago when he made it very clear that he was vehemently opposed to any new stadium complex at Camperdown stating that he would be putting an objection to the plans since, in his less than expert view and based only on an initial impression, the traffic management plan wasn't up to it. As an aside do you remember him bleating about there only being one entry and egress, via Kingsway, despite the plans clearly showing an additional entry / egress at Coupar Angus Road? Islay was then firstly invited and then formally elected onto the Dee4life board, a truly astonishing decision by all concerned.

Is it any wonder the club sees Dee4Life as hostile when they freely welcome aboard someone so strongly opposed to their proposed plans? And now it turns out he wasn't the only Dee4Life board member willing to raise barriers. Honestly couldn't make it up. The whole issue surrounding the club noting Dee4Life board members objecting to its plans needs discussed and Islay is a very large part of that discussion.

Islay is now gone from the board, whoever this mystery board member is also needs to resign or be forced out if that's not already done. Dee4Life members also need to know the identity of this person so that we know to object to any proposed re-election of the individual - it's not up to Islay to spill the info, it needs to come from the current Dee4Life board.

You are still a member bcram.

You unhappy with possible legal action and MSP involvement?

Can you now see Linda will never give D4l what they want, they may have to now fight for it.

    What's your thoughts?

Think Dee4life have played with a straight bat to use a cricket analogy. Yes I am still a member and I think the Dee4life board have tried their jaw jaw policy and demonstrated that it has run its race. Very disappointed that the topics have been a bit hostile to Dee4life as it seems to me they have tried their best.
Think they need a new approach and I am not sure that legal threats and getting MSPs involved is a sensible way to proceed. Maybe there is merit in trying to help DFC get their planning permission, which will need support from both local councillors and if it gets referred to Holyrood, MSPs. Who knows, perhaps there might be merit in explaining why they think their statement will help DFC.
Maybe their statement has made DFC reassess their approach.
More concerned about Dens not being sold to DFC, and somehow there is an exit strategy that we do not understand.

Difficult to play with a straight bat when Linda and the sycophants are bowling googlies.

A considerable number tried to tell them that and they have wasted a helluva lot of time.

I am now almost certain we will become homeless, whether very temporarily, longer term or permanently is yet to be seen.

I don not think the yanks will respect the A shares.
