Abbott is definitely more technically sound than Yates was when we had him, but that?s not what marks out an outstanding footballer, it?s having a positive effect on the game for their team. Yates stood out week in, week out as one of the most important players on the pitch, scored important goals, drove the team on.

Agree with what the anticlough has said above - Abbott (so far) lacks that absolutely outstanding attribute that sets the best players at any level apart. He?s a good all-rounder and nothing stands out as a weakness, but he doesn?t have that ability to win a game for his team.

You only have to look what happened to us when Yates left? Abbott is doing ok but he is not so influential as Yates was.

Doing ok? Do you go to the same games as most of us do or watch the same game from your armchair?
Been the best player across the middle of the park since JJ got injured Yates technically at Abbotts age wasn?t fit enough to lace Abbotts boots.
I?ve heard we have another coming on loan from Spurs in January as Notts have struck up a partnership with them pity it won?t be Dane Scarlett as he?s a cracker.
If it?s true regarding Notts and Spurs striking up a partnership I?d expect that will be young Kameron Muirs next career stop.

He got a lot of people sent off my heading balls others were kicking... Lincoln and Accrington spring to mind

No I buy my season ticket every year and give it away😜. I see everyone's entitled to your opinion. Abbott might be technically better than Yates was but I know who influenced our performances more. Mind you the ridiculous comments you posted about Crowley made me laugh.
