As a Dundee United fan i thought id let you know how utterly enjoyable it is watching how hopeless you are. That defence and keeper has relegation dog fight written all over them. Midfield is slow and easy to play around. Strikers who can't score. You've just let your manager spend 2 million in January and want rid of him. Sevco level banter.

Whilst Ruby had a shocker, I do have some sympathy. Looking at the list of injuries to our defensive players, and Jack McK only just returning from same, I can understand options were limited .... resulting in Ruby being played on the left and effectively 'thrown under the bus'. Ah'm pretty sure if McGarry had been fit, Jensen would have slotted in at LCB.

Other than the injured Molloy, we don't have a recognised LCB, so who's to say any other option would have fared better than Ruby? (Well, we can all 'say' .. of that there is no doubt ).

Yeah, I know, hindsight is always 20/20 ... but when I saw the team sheet .. before a ball was kicked ... my only real concern was that Ruby was on the left ... I honestly thought the BBC had got it wrong ... as they do now and again.

Surely if, due to the aforementioned limited options, it would be better to play Ruby to his 'strengths' and play Tobers on the left - as he would have adapted far, far better with the change of position .... but hey, what do I know? Ah'm jist a punter

Ruby's request to be replaced? Is it poss that he was just being honest? ... "hey boss ... Ah canna cope playin' on the left, an' canna cope wi' this Olasanya dude .... get somebody else on or it'll be 0-6 afore the half time pies are in the micro!"

Missed yesterdays game so can't comment on the content but what I can point at is our horrendous run of no wins in 13 league games.

That's 4 points from a possible 39 now which isn't just relegation levels but worst relegation points total of all time averaged over a season. 13 games isn't a small sample size to be discredited but over 1/3 of the total matches in a season so it's very reflective.

If Jimmy had started the season with this form and we were going to Tynecastle on the 1st December with 4 points from 39 then I think it's safe to say that he wouldn't be the manager for that match. Having the start he had however has given Jimmy money in the bank with the fans and AFC that no other manager would have been afforded.

How long this good faith lasts remains to be seen but for me even if we slip into the bottom six by seasons end and finish around 8th/9th position then he should be afforded the real funds in the summer to clear out the deadwood that has been a part of the worst run in our history and previous horrendous defeats from recent seasons.

I fully agree with launching the dead wood from the club but I?m also convinced we don?t have the money to sign the players to match Jimmys footballing philosophy

    The charge sheet is growing

Dining out on a previous purple patch
    No trust in youth players
    Playing players out of position
Sticking with out of form players
Zero interest in defending set pieces
Rigidly sticking to a system every other c*nt in the league has worked out

Being outsmarted by Robinson is not a good look

I?m not at the stage of actively wanting him out the club but he better pull his head out his @rse soon

While I agree with the charge sheet I do believe that there are a couple of points you make that would be addressed once Jimmy has the majority of the squad being "his" players.

If we're playing well with "his" players and winning games in the manner we hope then I'd fully expect Jimmy to integrate some youth players into the starting 11, we wouldn't be suffering from round hole/square pegs etc with exception of injuries/suspensions and he'd be able to drop players he trusts, or has worked with previously as he'd have a bigger pool of "his" players to select from.

I'm hopeful that with Cormack pursuing Jimmy over a couple of years that he has expected there to be a hefty amount of money required to facilitate what would be necessary to bring Jimmy's vision to fruition. This coming summer will be the true test of where their respective ambitions lie.

    Just watched the highlights.

Even worse watching it on the telly than it was at Pittodrie.

St Mirren had three shots on target and had three goals.

We had seven shots on target and no goals.
