If it is Davis then he has experience at both cship and prem level.
This isn't some hot shot kid who's played one league cup match but thinks he's better than he actually is
If it is Hirst then I really hope gru gets lucky with his snap uninformed judgement on him, because as we all know, he gets them wrong a lot more than he gets them right.
No doubt he'll also claim credit for the signing, in his mind we'll have only signed him because Warne has listened to his advice.

...presumably he won't be a warney boy even tho Warney signed him!
Think a decent signing if true. He knows where the onion bag is but a bit lighweight for me and not really a replacement for Smith if injured or off form. But think he will put pressure on the forwards to deliver which has got to be good...
...aye ...almost...![]()
Ok I can tell you now since it’s already been said by people who can’t keep their gobs shut.
It’s George hirst from Leicester on a season long loan he’s been training this morning with the lads and is having a medical This afternoon.
Wait till it's confirmed. I can promise you he's not lightweight. 6ft 2 bout solidly built. Remember who said him 1st after seeing him come on for Leicester at end of last season in July.
