On the BBC feed on Putin's speech:
"Putin now moves on to LGBT rights, a common topic in his speeches. "Family means a union between a man and a woman," Putin says, adding that "so say the sacred texts of every religion on Earth".

"But the West is doubting these sacred texts... We have to protect our children from degradation and degeneration - and we will," Putin says.

    Thunderous applause follows."

    Same PR staff?

    Aye.
    There's a difference between
    "I've decided "
    and
    "God told me"

She’s now saying kids born out of wedlock is wrong. That’s a bold strategy.

    Folk still think that?

I was born out of wedlock with father nowhere to be seen. Used to get things along those lines said to me as a kid.
One of the worst offenders was my gran. Some school teachers as well and some kids weren't allowed to speak to me out with school.

Good to see we're making progress.

I'd imagine she'll poll well with over 70s in the Western Isles.
A good base from which to start.

She probably has also got Jacob Rees-Mogg's vote as well, had he been in the SNP of course.

It's almost as though she felt obliged to stand but doesn't want to win so is saying everything necessary to chuck the election.

A quick look would tell you that there are " experts" on both sides of any argument.

I've three kids, two have a science degree and the clever one joined the Red Ultras instead.
My illustrious football career was spent with Scientists, Lecturers , mathematicians and latterly politicians.
My less than illustrious business carreer is linked with the NHS and my shop is near both the west end of Aberdeen
and the hospital, so many of my customers/ patients are doctors, nurses etc.

I've heard most views on most subjects and am perfectly capable of making up my own mind on various subjects
without the need for twitter etc.

No doubt this post will be followed by Mason putting up a picture of Jimmy Hill ( he's a poof) for some reason.
But then he's an ärsehole so don't be surprised.
So you listen to all the scientists and side with the ones who agree with you?

    Sorted cheers.

Can't fault her for being honest. I think she comes across pretty well apart from the riding a motorbike bit.

The fundamentalism doesn't sit with me.
I fear the events of the last few weeks have holed the Independence movement below the waterline.
