Kevin Smith scored for Bonnyrigg Rose on Tuesday. Still going strong at age 35.
Nicky Hunt has become assistant manager of Warrington Rylands today.
All our problems go back to Storrie and his overspending. For me he was worse than Munto, it's taken until these owners to actually get over his disastrous tenure. He sent us into administration, which ended up with the Trust doing their best, who were desperate to sell as we were too skint to pay a solicitor to do due diligence tests on Munto. Ray Trew bought the club, or a huge debt and started his tenure with one arm tied behind his back because of having to finance the debt. He had to sell to Hardy who had less money than him and down we spiralled. Hardy went sh@t or bust when he couldn't afford to service Storries legacy debt and now here we are, four years in non league.
Completely agree. Scardino was a nice man but very naive and Storrie took advantage of that. We were a total mess when we came out of admin after that period. 18 months in admin left us on our knees and whatever people want to think about the Trust now there was no one who wanted to buy us and there was no other option. Then Haydn Green dying suddenly massively effected us as could well have been the person we turned to for cash when we needed it. Instead we had to completely rely on income and so many bridges had been burnt by going into admin.
Noor Husin - Playing against us tonight for Southend.
