Oh dear, you Lefties still don't get it do you. There is nothing 'disproportionate' about the Israeli bombing. They are fighting a war, against a terrorist organisation which has the capacity to fire missiles into Israel in their thousands. They have decided that a ceasefire agreed with Hamas is pointless, it will hold on the Hamas side just long enough for them to re-arm, re-group and recommence the missile bombardment, so the Israelis will continue military operations until they have, as much as they possibly can, reduced the military threat of Hamas. In this regard nothing the IDF does is 'disproportionate', it is not a token response, as Hamas hoped it would be, it is not meant to deter the firing of rockets into Israel on a temporary basis, it is meant to destroy, as far as is possible, the Hamas war machine, and as such the Israeli response is entirely proportionate.

Sometimes BT, you really disappoint me, for a wily, old political operator, you really seem out of touch with what's actually happening in the Middle East. Get your act together mon ami, instead of getting carried away with all the tedious Lefty virtue-signalling, hand-wringing and bedwetting, open your eyes and check out what's really happening............and why.

Everybody else I talk to agrees the IDF are using a sledgehammer to crack a nut. This is not a "war", this is one country exerting its supremely more effective arsenal of military grade weapons against a group of amateur hour militia, armed with pea shooters.

    It's slaughter, pure and simple.

We were visiting England in late December 2008, the IDF were in Gaza, I turned on the BBC's World at One to find out what was going on. It was Martha Kearney and first up was some Hamas chappy who was allowed a five minute uninterrupted rant by Martha. Then it was the Israeli Ambassador's turn, he was asked what the IDF was doing in Gaza, he began to explain that they were attempting to stop the barrage of Hamas rockets being fired into Israel, he hadn't been speaking ten seconds when he was rudely interrrupted by Martha, 'Well it's not working is it', she snapped. I couldn't help but notice the contrast in the way the two contributors to the programme were treated, one given an uninterrupted five minutes, the other hardly ten seconds before he was aggressively interrupted, but that's the Lefty media for you.

Tonight on SkyNews Mark Austin was interviewing an Israeli politician, Balan would no doubt know him, but I've no idea who he was. Austin had a list in his hand, the names of various people who had been killed in air raids, mostly children and a doctor. His interviewing technique, if you could call it that, was to keep referring to his list and asking why the Israelis had killed these people, then he got round to asking just what Israel thought it was doing with the bombing of Gaza, and I got a sort of Groundhog Day sensation, I thought I can see where this is going, and after the Israeli had patiently explained that they were trying to stop the missile attacks on Israel, Austin said, 'Well it's not working is it', this pathetic excuse for a journalist was using the very same line, even down to exactly the same words, Kearney had used 13 years before. The same tired old script 13 years on, but that's the Lefty media for you.

I noticed on this mornings paper.
The Israeli military said that Hamas, and Islamic Jihad groups regarded by Israel, the United States and the European Union as a terrorist movements, and other armed factions have fired more than 3,150 rockets from Gaza over the past week.

Jewish man hurt in Lod riots succumbs to wounds
The man, identified as 56-year-old Yigal Yehoshua, was struck in the head with a brick thrown by Arab rioters and has become the first Jewish casualty in the ongoing nationwide civil unrest; police yet to make arrests.

But BT thinks bricks rocks stones don't kill!!
