Best signing of the Ardley era?

Yeah Connell's up there. Not so long ago we couldn't find a good centre-half anywhere and even had to drag Steady Eddy out of retirement. Rawlinson's a solid performer and certainly very good value for money, if we can assume his wages are not eye-watering.

Lacey has good ability too. Turner is beginning to show his age and seems prone to mistakes, but on his day you can still see flashes of what once saw him play at a high level.

Giggs didn't play every single second of United's games at 40 though did he?

Don't need a tablet cheers pal. My body's a temple.

Great result. The feeling is as much relief as joy, but I think we've pushed back one of our main competitors there and effectively recovered three of the silly points we lost previously.

Consistency's the key now. A team aspiring to take the title or at minimum a top three place needs runs of wins. It's no good beating the teams around us and then dropping points to the lowly sides.

In a game like that, every player needs to put a shift in.
I think we did that tonight.
I’m not a big fan of JoB being in the team at the minute, but not a time to start moaning. Hard working performance and all did their jobs.
I agree with Swale as well. Enzios work rate was massive tonight, not a game for him to set it alight on the wings, but a game to get rid of the “can’t be arsed” comments.

People do realise Stockport only looked average because Notts had a gameplan, and it worked. You can't play champagne football every week. Every man did his job and not one of them shirked their responsibilities or didn't give it there all. That had the makings of another Barrow at home from last season and we did what was necessary. Well done Notts and well done to the manager, he got it spot on tonight and deserves credit for it.
