Talking to my neighbour this morning, at 96 year old still not been contacted about having the jab.

According to a table for age groups set out, I am 69 years old, according to the table, I & my wife are due for our vaccine jab, between 25 February / 16 March 2021.

Couple of nights ago a provider here had a freezer problem and their vaccines had to be used by 5am. Announced it on social media at 11pm and at 2am had 2,000 eligible people lined up with their sleeves rolled up. No vaccines went to waste. Social media does have some good uses after all.

I expected a great big needle like the TB one at school..in reality it takes 2 seconds like a tiny pin prick not even like having a blood sample..amazing..I had the first one nearly 2 weeks ago ...

No such luck here. A couple of our over-80s friends were called up last week and another 3 in the over 75's group got theirs at the weekend but not started on the over-70's yet as far as I know. Latest theory is it's because of the large number of care homes and nursing homes down here they've got to work through. I think we have one of the highest number of over 80's in the country, if not the highest. Still, I suppose it's true that more people are going to come and retire here than go to Rotherham. Swings and roundabouts.
