Biggest result of the season only heard updates on Sportsound but Leanne Crichton said that she was loving watching Fuchs and we were always the team on top.The clean sheet today is massive, well done to Ryan Edwards and pleased for the much maligned Peter Pawlett.

That was the most Shankland has been in a game this season. Had a number of chances, a bit rusty with the first couple but when he has the ammo he will take something.

Great Result. A much needed win for us and eases some concern.

The lineup he put out was the lineup that most fans was wanting. A simple but effective lineup. Boys playing in their more natural positions, players who deserve a start starting and not shoehorning players into the team for the sake of it.

1st half i thought we were the better team. They did have some dangerous attacks but if Shankland wasn't rusty, we could have easily been 3-0 up at half time imo. Defended well (Esp from set pieces) and pressing them well. 2nd half, They came out much better and started asking questions of us. White's chance was a big one for them and the game started becoming more scrappy. The first goal was going to be crucial. Shanklands goal was like shankland of last season. great move, great finish. Edwards made it more comfortable with the goal from corner but a well deserved win.

    notes.
    1. Players getting played in their preferred positions will likely get better performances (who would have thought!?!)
    2. Edwards is solid at the back and probably shouldn't have been out the team for the period he was.
    3. Back 4 much better as they went back to basic's. Stopping crosses, winning headers so on.
    4. Butcher, Fuchs and Pawlett is the midfield id like to see going forward.
    5. Sporle should have been in the team more!
    6. Hopefully this will give everyone a boost (Esp Shankland)

Good result, lets hope we can build on it. It shows we have what it takes to get performances.

Absolutely huge result today. Doesn’t make us safe by any means but we’re getting within touching distance. If we can somehow garner four more points pre split then I think we’ll be there. Meanwhile, while the likes of Tom English have been laying the boot in with considerable pleasure to ourselves and clearly taking great delight in our recent turmoil, the spotlight for some reason has not been placed on Kilmarnock despite the fact they have lost five straight, are currently managerless, were one of the first financially to sign up desperately for the interest free loan and now hilariously appear to be lining up Elvis as their new manager. If that’s not a Club in freefall I don’t know what is.

    Massive result.

All of defence was good especially Edwards.

    Fuchs MOTM

Butcher being back also making huge difference.

    Sporle good

McNulty very frustrating and he doesn’t do enough at times when he has the chance and he does not work hard enough.

Pawlett playing better and needs to keep his levels up

Good for shanks to get his goal

For first time in a while I feel more confident WE ARE STAYING UP !!!

    Happy Days 😃

Spot on Tomb...... What happens when Connolly gets back from his "personal issues" ?

He is a huge fave of MM. Do we upset a team that looked pretty good today, or bench him , like we did to Edwards?

We might go back to 5 at the back for the seemingly big matches, but if Edwards goes back on the bench (like Watson)
    I might give up
