I know I keep saying stats mean jack. Norwich had a chance to be 2 nil up against the city yet they lost. It's ok to also say ohh that was close but close isn't good enough unlucky perhaps but points arent scored by being unlucky.

On such fine margins do fortunes ride.
So how many posts do you need to reply to your own (see your previous comments on my responses).

The PL is BASED on fine margins (at least for those outside the top 6, and even they have fine margins within themselves to deal with), and today wasn't "fine margins", we were sh1te, making an ordinary Everton side look like world beaters, and the hits on the post were the exceptions to an otherwise abysmal performance, not some unlucky happenstance

We aren't even close to the standard of clubs like Brighton, Crystal Palace, Brentford, EVERTON, because once a couple of players suffer injuries were are - toothless, defenceless, without depth, without guile, any of the above and more, because our board have declined, despite copious evidence to support such moves, to bolster defence, midfield and most particularly attack, whilst allowing those who have shown merit and capability (Alioski, Hernandez) to leave without capable/superior replacements being brought in.

Are we to depend upon good luck (as your post infers), or should we be be building a team that can do the necessary i.e WIN without depending on the opposition to f00k up?

Everton shots on target = 10. Overall shots 20 to 7. I think that negates Rodrigo's couple of efforts somewhat. Sorry Hopey, on this occasion it does speaketh the truth in my opinion.

It goes back to the war of the Roses Oz and the two cities don’t like each other much either.

There were some pretty violent games between supporters in the 1970s too. In 1977 Man U fans wrecked large parts of the town centre.

Probably not helped by then being the media’s darlings either.

Back then all supporters were nuts doing all sorts of crazy stuff don't think ours were innocent. They have been tamed by security cameras nowadays. Gee, I remember here in those times so many fights more ethnic hate than team support lol back than all the clubs were ethnicity owned eg my team was greek. Lowe changed all that deleted comp made new teams owned like himself millionaires. back in the day supporters felt a part of the club.I guess that is how English football is now billionaires and missionaries.

Our were far from saints but 1977 the police funnelled all the Man U fans into the town centre and they decided to go nuts around non football supporters and smash up most of the shops etc. That was a particular low point as there were no Leeds fans around.

When football violence is spoken of Man U tend to get a free pass in the media but they caused their fair share of trouble.

Historically, the northern counties tended not to get on which didn’t help but Leeds and Manchester especially so - even cricket games used to get a little tasty.

West Ham Chelsea Scum Sheffield United - all as bad if not worse than us back in the day - we copped for it far more in the press due to their hatred of us which in turn helped fuel the 'we all hate Leeds' fire.
