Well, let’s face it...you think any comment you disagree with constitutes ‘losing the plot’ but seldom offer any constructive clarification.
On this occasion I can’t even tell if you’re referring to my views on Leeds, Quantuma or comparative hourly pay rates. If it’s LUFC I have to concede I found it hard to admit.

I see the HMRC debt has now risen to 36 million - presumably because we havent been paying them payroll deductions since the first administrators report? (Administrators 2nd Progress Report (all 86 pages of it) is on file at Companies House if anyone cares to look).

Administrators cost are now excess of 2 million (at 21-03) and legal another 1 million. Looks like the lawyers involved in the appeal against the initial 12 point penalty for entering administration cost about 335,000. Seems a lot when it seems a pretty clear cut rule/penalty.

3.75 million raised by player sales

£ 266 received in donations - and here was me thinking the fans had put their hands in their pockets to help out!!

The Academy has flogged its minibus
I see the Sun have finally picked up on the 335k spunked away on (eventually not) appealing the 12 points.

Guess their journalists must read this forum after all 😃

I refer to Leeds. But I suppose two relegations in one season are likely to subvert the sanest of minds.

Cheers it must have hurt posting that - Think it will be a close call given our run in but we'll see.

It did! But I did actually like the way you played football last season and the experiment of playing with no defensive strategy at all for most of this one has been...interesting.

GP...I suspect this might require only the briefest of two letter replies but...given your undoubted strengths in the areas of finance and accountancy...can you think of any circumstances at all where you would actually recommend taking over the running of a football club, be it in the Premiership, Championship, League One or wherever?

Na, you'll stay up comfortably. Then we can enjoy you being thumped on MoTD each week next season

    I will go with a 3 lettered response - ego.............but:

If you have incredible wealth - and I don't mean Mel's comparative poverty - and can afford to throw billions at it, then perhaps it would be worth it: as long as you can find some idiot to come along and want to buy it off you later. If you can leverage your buyout in the way the Glazers did, or the Burnley owners have, then maybe.

If you still believe the value of clubs will continue to rise beyond the losses you make each season, and have an exit strategy that is viable, then maybe. Its just a huge gamble, and one that makes investing in cryptocurrency seem a walk in the park by comparison.

Also if you have money to launder, then maybe

All of which might make you think that all football clubs should be owned by accountants, particularly those working for Quantuma I suppose
