As much as any club we should've learned our lessons about experienced central midfielders dropping down the levels.

Once a player loses it physically, it doesn't mean they can no longer play in the championship/league 1 for example, it means they can no longer play professional football in England period - such is the level of every pro league down to the NL.

We had this with Smith and Vaughn, and we just can't risk this being the case with Arter too.
Thanks and good luck to him, let's hope this doesn't apply to him and he can have a few good seasons, but we can't afford to see IF this is the case or not.

They play to the managers instructions... I remember a few weeks back when we scored a goal from a long punt up field, and IB wasn't happy that we chose that route..

I think that's the kind of statement that needs backing up with a link or clearer reference at least.
We've got quite a few goals this season from some great longer balls - I expect IB's very happy when these passes are on and executed well.

Good bit of news there. Not sorry to see the back of him at all. Obvious he wasn’t willing to put his foot in and his approach of look behind or sideways to pass to Palmer became ridiculous.
Waste of a shirt, as is Brunt on his contributions so far. Maybe now Arter has gone, we’ll have to look at who the midfielders are and why they’re deserving of a shirt.
If Francis comes in as a straight replacement, then oh dear.
