To the posters who will inevitably follow blaming Jack Ross for the lack of a holding midfielder i say this, when he arrived the Sporting Director should already have recruited at least one but probably two because Fuchs and Butcher were both away long before Ross was even needed.

We 100% still need a new keeper and midfielder to play when Sibald doesn't but at least the manager has actually noticed our issues. Onwards and upwards, 3 points absolutely relieves us of so much pressure now.
Wtf was be doing for that cross ball in the first half?? Heart in the mouth stuff. Go one nil down there and who knows what might've happened.

From the lowest of the low to the highest of the high in a few days. It's a funny old game... Please God this is the turning point.

Well done boys! Atmosphere was great at Tanny too. Sibbald was my MOTM. Thought he was immense. Bit of dig and attitude from team made a big difference. Watt played well took his goal brilliantly but needs to put a bit more effort in at times. Loved it when he was having words with their keeper before penalty was taken. After their keeper was trying to get into mcgraths head. With fletcher on the sidelines I thought we played more football instead of trying to play the long ball all the time.

This. Much as yesterday was fantastic and the team played great, that could (and let’s face it probably should) have been a turning point as the puddin’ they had up front missed an absolute sitter as a result. Fortunately Eriksson had little else to do for the remainder of the game but that individual episode highlighted precisely why he is not the answer to our current goalkeeping issue.

That wasnt Erikssons only mistake though, and while he got a touch on the ball to change the outcome, a better striker would have used the time better and scored! Sure he did something similar twice in the second half where Aberdeen really could have equalized, but Edwards and McMann where not letting anything past them.

I actually said to myself after the first wander, well thats his Ben(ji) moment, but when all his mistakes are combined, i really have no comparison as i cant remember a keeper for us who moves about the box so aimlessly at times.

Well I'm speechless. Goalkeeper apart I thought as a team we were very good and well organised but let's be honest here Aberdeen were pi5h,overhyped 5hite. They reminded me last night of us v St Mirren at home in the 3-0 defeat where we had a lot of the ball but no goal threat. Another massive home game midweek where we can't afford to lower our work rate and hopefully Sibbald can manage another 90 minutes or will we not see him for another 6 or 7 games🙄

Thank phuck we won so we don’t have to listen to SMwS and Masonic89’s inane ramblings on their hatred of ‘The Joots’.

100% agree. I was prepared to wait and see and now I've waited I've seen enough. What the actual f was he thinking there!
What I don't understand is there were opportunities last season to put him in and test him but IIRC we never did it. (Correct me if I'm wrong) If we'd done so we could have identified the problem with Benji going.
If you think about the recruitment failures you can list GK, CB, CDM and striker. As someone said, that's the whole spine of the team.

Said when Sibbald was signed he was one of the missing pieces in our jigsaw, a water carrier, a player who keeps play flowing, ability to change the point of attack and keeps the ball well. All good teams have one. I think him and McGrath are just now starting to generate a partnership.
Would be great if we can get his health issues resolved because we need this lad in our starting 11
