I looked on the website and told him I could get him a couple of tickets in the main stand, but they would be in the wings adjacent to the family stand six yard box. Apparently he had been trying for a while and was delighted to accept, so I bought a couple tickets for him.

The moral of the story is that we are clearly reaching out to new supporters as the attendances show. He couldn't get tickets easily but still kept trying. I hope the result and/or occasion will tempt them to return.

I can second this, I've attended several games over the years but not a regular. I haven't got Mansfield tickets, however the hype amongst my Friends / Family have prompted me to get myself to a game or two. I have some games coming up now and cannot wait. Seems the fans / atmosphere are in high spirits at the moment and sitting top makes it all the more attractive.

It’s stunning that our attendances are on the rise given the success of Forest. Many thought that would be another nail in our coffin. The attendance levels are great, but as has been highlighted, the number of kids attending is remarkable. My boys love going. They love the atmosphere in The Kop. They, like me, can’t wait for our game with Mansfield.
A truly great time to be a Notts fan.
Its really great that our attendances are really good, and long may it continue, we can get about 17,500 in without having to bother about safety certificates to get to 20,000. Interestingly Pavis did consider a 30,000 seater staduim at Notts, but we would have to remained in the top flight .
But since Covid thay have been on the rise througout all Divisions, and to compare our gates to th last time we were in the top flight is crazy,
just as a matter of fact it was 11,135, , if we were in the top flight again and the ground was not a limiting facor we would easy get 25,000 plus , as so much have all clubs gates risen over 30 plus years - mainly as said the size of the ground being the limiting facor- and why clubs keep increasing the capacity of their staduims in the premier league

Also seems that a lot of fans are disenchanted with the PL and are turning to the lower divisions to watch football.

Notts currently averaging 10,686, the 2nd best in tier 4 (Bradford top). There's only 7 clubs averaging higher in tier 3 and we're only a few hundred below Luton and Bournemouth in the top flight. Higher than two clubs in the French top flight.

Just had a quick, (rough) count up and there's @120 now. I would think with the cameras and the limits placed on the JS, bout 17,000-17,500.

Haven't checked and my memory is far from good but my recollection is that this fixture always seemed to attract attendances of 9000 to 11,000, boosted hugely by the always very big away following. So to be in TV and hitting around 17,000 is phenomenal.

Regardless of the result I hope the owners are there and prior to kick off look around and feel very proud at what they have created. We should be very thankful as fans and not take it for granted.

We're the live commentary game on talksport2 this weekend. Must be a while since we were last covered as a live national radio game.
