I'm a tad annoyed to be honest, it was an opportunity for Maynard and Notts to make an assertive little statement and send fans into the summer feeling positive, especially with season tickets about to go on sale, and they haven't mustered the enthusiasm or guile to do it. All the previously stated doubts about Maynard being the right man to lead us forward therefore remain.
True. I just didn't have any enthusiasm for today's game even before kick-off and was more interested in thinking about next season tbh. Shame on me.

Steve Cotterill showing respect to Notts fans is a nice touch. Good manager.

    If only…

Both Mansfield and Stockport battered FGR at their place, wrexham drew , and now we are losing- no where near promotion
Didn't Sutton do the double over us?

Seeing how Grimsby have struggled this season, we can't rule out a relegation battle. I would think mid-table is more likely but with this guy in charge a less than half-decent start would be worrying.

Surely we will get off to a better start than losing 5-1

With I-follow going next season I won’t be able to watch which must be a relief for everyone as my record since the start of the year is P5 L5, including what must rank as one of the most shocking Notts display I have witnessed in the 2-1 defeat against Swindon. I am pleased for my own sanity that I wasn’t able to watch today.

Just to correct a mistake I made earlier it’s actually 0 out 18 (not 12) possible points against the three promoted sides and that goes with 3 out of 12 against the two relegated teams. This Summer’s recruitment is going to be hugely important and I only hope we get it right.
