    Not in the slightest.

Your comment says far more about you than it does me.

I'll leave you to think about that one.

Just as you've left me to come up with examples of successful left wing economic policy in the absence of any evidence to back up your statement. Nothing found as yet...

    My 'statement':

    Conversation about BBC bias...

Obviously either didn't understand the context, or wanted to deliberately push an agenda item.

    Similar logic fail:

For clarity, the insult was to suggest viewership of GB News (defender of Farage, Laurence Fox, et al, conspiracy theories about 'MSM', etc). I've had worse insults today, and basically only worked from home. Even more bizarre, when asked if pointing at TV channel viewership was insulting...

For my part, I'm a little more closed off. Once I've seen people delve into Farage apologism and 'MSM' theories, I struggle to take the rest seriously. So far, I've yet to see concerns around climate change denial, Enoch Powell endorsements, gay conversion therapy views, etc taken seriously once I encounter these mindsets, but see deflection to well-worn GB News gripes all too commonly.

Hand in the air, fully accept I have a problem with certain kinds of people. I'm a GBeebiist. A Richard-Tice-phobic of the highest order. And as long as people continue to defend and deflect for Reform, UKIP, BNP-Lite, or whatever else they're dressed as, I'll be here with my disapproving gaze, stubbornly resisting attempts to push the conversation onto small boats, straight bananas, or how net migration should be zero (as long as there are no follow-up questions).

Confessions such as this can be cathartic, so thank you for your honesty.

We're at polar opposite sides of the political spectrum so we're never going to agree, but I do wish you the very best. I'm with Beatrice Hall - "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it".

Disapprove of my pointing at your flawed logic and endless deflecting.

Some genuinely scary people we allow the vote.

You keep going on about this ffs. Depending on your definition but left of centre economies with at least as much success as your beloved right of centre (in recent history) :

    Denmark
    Sweden
    Finland
    Canada
    Norway
    Netherlands
    Germany
    Ireland
    New Zealand
England (post war) fits and starts!

And for a bit of fun, China although the work force there might disagree from their pov...

There's the problem. I wouldn't categorise any of your examples as 'proper' left, with the obvious exception of China.

It all depends on your starting point, but thanks for helping Ulley out as he's clearly struggling.
