Maynard's got at least another couple of months IMO.

I’d hope so, a point off the top, best goal difference in the league and 2nd highest goal scorers.

Quick one too. Those bemoaning the line up tonight, who else would you have played?

Bass, Macari, Platt, Bedeau, Gordon, Robertson, Palmer, Crowley, Austin and Jatta all started Saturday. All of them nailed on or in contention to start against Chesterfield on Saturday.

Scott and Abbott not involved either. Abbott can be put with the 10 above. Scott was a slightly odd omission tonight but maybe not risked due to McGoldrick. Only a thought.

Imagine if any of the 10 who started Saturday played tonight and got injured. I guarantee those who’ve got an issue with the line up would’ve been all over SM for starting that player.

Nobody is moaning about the composition of the line up, we are all aware of the sorry state of affairs the depth of the squad is in. Moaning is about the quality and effort of the line up.

We were never in the game if I'm honest. Not surprising with a team made up of kids, bench-warmers and injury returnees. What else could we do though, too many injuries? Too many stray passes, little service for the front men and far too much wet stuff falling out of the sky for my liking.

It's silly to overreact to tonight's result
A thrown together 11 of fringe players and kids against eleven senior pros from a division above
    What did we really expect?

Not a great watch but some of the young chaps did well, Hincy and Brown were garbage tonight, Martin didn't look like a footballer in the first half but showed something in the second... Cundy is just pretty bad but there were a few bright spots.. McDonald is a very decent player and with the right guy beside him could turn out to be a very useful signing... Slocombe made the usual boo boo but was ok enough...just delighted we have a brilliant keeper like Bass... we are woefully short up front with all the constant injuries so I hope our luck changes soon.

Why is it all down to the manager ?

He isn’t even the manager by the way so what is your opinion on the recruitment team please as surely the shock should be RM to go to or is he Teflon in all of this ?

Our recruitment has been pretty poor really a few hits but the rest are unfit or injury prone rejects not exactly fair to bash Maynard with is it.

Langstaff has been replaced with Brown just let that sink in too.
