Very annoying but I can't sign up for Piesplayer, tried numerous times but I never get the confirmation email. Most other clubs just put this on Youtube, 'Donnys' player and match interviews are there so why do we make stuff so 'exclusive'? Annoys the crap out of me.

For the next game, could you watch Cundy, please? I want to know who he talks to and when.
I remember a thread from a year ago when you said you felt uncomfortable when Dan Crowley mentioned his religion in interviews. You've posted a very subjective thread suggesting a player is harming team spirit, but isn't there an agenda here, be it conscious or subconscious?
Grow up, I, of course, didn't spend the whole match watching the bench but I was so close to them, I couldn't help but notice Crowley's body language. And I'm not the only one to suspect there s more to the 'injury' he has just had. Don't get me wrong, I think Crowley is a superb player, if not a little selfish sometimes but I welcome his return although we've done pretty well without him. And I can't deny I am against religion of any kind coming into sport, it's a personal thing and should be kept that.

On a last 9 game current form table, Notts are mid-table - 11th. Port Vale, MKD, Walsall and Crewe make up the top 4 having all picked up 5 or more points than Notts in that period. We keep clinging on to 3rd but will drop out of autos on the form we've shown since mid-September. Current form doesn't look much better on the regular 6 game basis either, 9th.

Port Vale lost yesterday, so who knows, that might be the start of their collapse, but they've got Morecambe next who are still looking for their first home win of the season. Crewe have only lost once since the 2nd game of the season (play off final hangover) and they will probably be a tougher game for Notts than Doncaster. I'd like to see how Notts do there before making a prediction but if I was forced to place a bet on the final top 3 today, there's at least 4 sides who now look well capable of finishing above Notts, sadly MKD among them.

I'd say - results wise - there has to be a shift up in gear soon. Coasting along has been enough to cling on to 3rd for the past 6 weeks or so, but it's unlikely going to be enough longer term.

I agree. However, I’d also say that most of us would have taken this once we found out that the best player at the club and arguably in L2 was out for a prolonged period.
If we can be there or thereabouts once JJ comes back, that will bode well IMO.
L2 is ultra competitive where most teams are capable of beating each other. I don’t think we will see any team on more than 90 points plus come the end of this season.

We've arguably, been more direct and offensively effective with Crowly out. He often holds on to the ball too long and many times has been on the verge of losing the ball when he's the last man.

A great player at this level and we need him back but please, I don't want to see him weaving circles around our own back four and, he does need to release the ball quicker.

Especially so considering also that Crowley has also been missing and we've used McG very sparingly.

I prefer to look at form over the season. It is a tight division so far and we have had a lot of injuries ( again!). Coasting along is a strange choice of words. I think we are doing our absolute best with the resources available and in the words of D:Ream things can only get better! We are very hard to beat having lost the least number of games in the division. Biggest concern remains the very few number of goals from midfield for me. I hope McGoldrick is available next weekend or I do think the unbeaten away run will come to an end at Gresty Road.

No, but maybe saving him for Crewe given we are likely to want him to play a full 90 with no Jatta?

Possibly but given that Jatta has provided the much needed, aerial threat, we have no 'like for like' replacement so we're either in for a couple of McG screamers or it will be a frustrating, 'tipp-tappy' game where we try and penetrate their central defence on the ground.
