I suppose it's his job to be positive, even when it has to be forced.
Some fans seem to be demanding an outcome to the season now, they can't wait to see how it plays out. We're in a promotion race, and the full story of our season can only be told when it's over. That's the time the reckoning can start.
Having said that, autos do seem to be slipping out of reach. But with all our injuries and various disruptions I think we know that it doesn't feel like an automatic promotion season. Having said that, we're only 1pt behind, and played 1 extra game, than the nearest challengers, so even that isn't dead yet.
But more likely, 2 of Bradford Donny, Wombles and Vale are likely to get an automatic promotion they don't really deserve and wouldn't have got in other seasons, especially last season.
