Which is why I'm anxious to get promoted. Our recent form (and performances) under Maynard are the stuff of relegation regardless of whether we are in L1 or L2.

Edit - although we were technically robbed by some dreadful decisions against Cov all those years ago it masked the fact that we were also comprehensively outplayed and actually rubbish (and playing caveman football). The next season's relegation didn't really come as a surprise to anyone who understood what they were watching

I laughed last season when MK got battered in the playoffs; but I genuinely think we'll be in for a similar experience this time around.

There's no fight, passion, enthusiasm or guile in anyone at Notts, from the boardroom, through to the remains of the "coaching team" we have, and all throughout the playing squad; with the exception of Abbott who isn't even ours. So many players out there aren't fit to wear the shirt or earn the salaries they're earning.

    Maynard out.

Goodbye Maynard I'd say, there's not a chance we'll go up via the play offs on that sh*te form!!!

And Cheaterfield steal into the playoffs...even if by some minor miracle we mugged Wimbledon to get to the final then either Walsall or Cheaterfield would simply slaughter this lot in the final... hate to sound so down on the team but today was a horror show...since Christmas it's mainly been a horror show, played off the park by both of the relegated teams yet managed to win both...the last decent performance was Grimsby away... I hope these players prove me wrong but simply can not see it with SM leading them.

Kellan Gordon put more effort into moaning at the notts fans than he did all match, which sums up the majority of this notts squad.

I saw a quote about the US national team recently that described them as both underachievers and unlikeable, and throughout this season, particularly today, I've come to realise that those adjectives sum up a lot of our squad pretty well too unfortunately.

I suspect that the manager's passive, control based approach has a detrimental effect on the tackling which is standing off, not engaging, and eventually missing (or all panicking together and diving around all over the place, later than a group of 1920's silent comedy policemen)

Nah im not having that as a pro your instinct is to go for the ball you cant change that much imo.

Too easy for fans to pile into Maynard its a collective effort.

Also shout out to RM for leaving us with zero muscle in the squad he knew when to escape didnt he.

Must admit I dont fancy us against Wimbledon.

Surely not if you've been instructed to stand off and not commit yourself, which is an accepted defensive method. We've been lightweight for a while but I'd say this defence is more rugged than any with Cameron in it, but it is a concern.

We escaped with a 2-0 defeat in an horrendous display at Wimbledon earlier this season, after which I think the players were genuinely shell shocked by how angry many of the supporters were. That worried me that they clearly thought they had done okay. I thought the barracking was harsh but we were absolutely awful once they'd worked us out (which took about 10 mins)
