EFL clubs must publish their retained list by midnight on the 3rd Saturday of May (this Saturday). Clubs involved in playoffs must publish within 4 days of their final match.
Burton Albion
Six players are still in negotiations with the club in the hope of retaining their services for the 2025/26 season.
Max Crocombe, Ryan Sweeney, J?n Dadi B?dvarsson, Kegs Chauke, Finn Delap, F?bio Tavares and Kamil Dudek are out of contract this summer but have received offers from Albion in an attempt to keep them at Pirelli Stadium next term.
RETAINED THIS SUMMER
Four**** players remain under contract that ended the season with Burton. They are: Harry Isted, Terrance Vancooten, Udoka Godwin-Malif?, Jason Sraha, Geraldo Bajrami, Jack Armer, Dylan Williams, Nick Akoto, Charlie Webster, James Jones, Ciaran Gilligan, Tomas Kalinauskas, Rumarn Burrell and Julian Larsson.
Also under contract, and returning from loan deals away from the club, are a further eight players. They are: Elliot Watt, Jack Cooper-Love, Ben Whitfield, Danilo Orsi, Jasper Moon, Alex Bannon, Billy Bodin and Jack Hazlehurst.
Youngsters Josh Taroni and Jack Newall are set to be promoted to the First Team squad, after being offered professional contracts.
DEPARTING THE CLUB
Three players have returned to their parent clubs after loan spells with The Brewers; Owen Dodgson to Burnley, JJ McKiernan to Lincoln City and Kyran Lofthouse to Barnsley.
Six players have been released after not being offered a new deal. They are: Anthony Forde, Mason Bennett, Jack Stretton, Cameron Gilbert, Toby Oakes and Dylan Scott.

Following a season that saw the Club achieve its highest league finish since 2002, and set a new club-record points tally in the third tier, we would like to thank each departing player for their contributions over the course of the campaign.
We extend special thanks to Kyle Knoyle for his ***** role in our League Two title success during the 23/24 season – our first EFL title in 57 years. Kyle made 81 appearances over two-and-a-half years at Edgeley Park, after joining from Doncaster Rovers for an undisclosed fee. We wish him and Cody all the best in the next chapter of their careers.
At this stage, the Club remain in talks with several first-team players whose contacts expire this Summer, and we will update supporters on those situations in the coming weeks.
