I don't get your point Durham. They had a poor preseason and lack of preparation and didn't start the season well either winning just 2 of their opening 7 games before beating Notts.

Their poor start supports the theory that selling a club, and putting a squad together late in the day doesn't help you at the start of the season. You are immediately playing catch up as shown by Notts and Yeovil that season and Dover this season.

    Am I right I thinking.
If yeovil had such a bad preparation , probably worse than ours, how were they able to beat us so easily..?

So this season, how did very well prepared Notts get on at total crisis club Dover in the opening game?

Sorry, I just couldn't resist such an open goal!

You may view it as an open goal but the linesman's flags up.

We lost 1-0 but only a numpty would judge or class a 'start to a season' as being just one game.

How we'll have crisis club Dover done this season after a poor preseason and lack of proper preparation... Let's just have a look at the league table.

Let's put it down as a 'prime example'

We were dreadful, even Dickinson had a good game against us. The only good point about the day was being in the beer tent..

We started the game with pretty much a full squad, with both Wootton and Rawlinson on the bench. Ardley prefered Graham and Turner as the 2 central defenders. Just like the play off final Turner was crap...

Same again Navy? Why don't you try being a little less provocative for a change? You might actually like it.

P.S. It would be very nice if you'd cut out the swearing (mistyped or not), as I'm sure many posters would agree.

If you're worried about the swearing ( mistyped or not ), I'd ask you to look at some other footie forums. Forest and Brighton are my favorites. Passion, wit, lots and lots of swearing......not this knitting forum you and your Thicko mate wanna turn this forum into.

Nope that doesn't change anything. Yeovil didn't start that season well, they didn't have a good preparation. Not a coincidence.

You didn't rate Rawlinson at the time did you?
