Scott Burns has just replied to a United fan on his Twitter feed saying a lot of work is going on behind the scenes on transfer targets and it'll be very exciting if they come off. It's a pity no one at the club has told us that.

    Let's hope.

Two & a half weeks to make these exciting targets, exciting signings.

To anyone from Dundee United what i would say is,your fans backed the club to an unbelievable level knowing full well that they were never gonna be allowed to attend games in the early part of the season. In fact we still bought season tickets by the barrowload without knowing whether we would even have TV coverage of the games.

We all understand the difficulties the club faced with the actions of Heart of Midlothian when they took our manager and delayed our promotion. That seems like an eternity ago and i find it very disappointing that major signings have not been made,i honestly think it was a near miracle that the new manager accrued 7 points with a Championship side minus its best player.

I would hate to think that our early season miraculous victories had Mark and Tony thinking it was job done because we now have a much better manager, the team Micky has inherited was on a major downward spiral long before covid 19 ended the season and that was at Championship level.

By the way we deserved our promotion and would have won the league if the season carried on but we were on a very poor run and everybody knew fine well that to survive in the Premiership we needed to add at least 5 players with top league experience.

Why on earth would they? The club have never talked about any transfer until the deal is done and this is the professional way to go about it.

Got to agree with that Terry. If something to say then tell us about it.

If they go about announcing targets then the likes of the sheep can easy come in and pinch players.

What happens on the pitch is what matters

You're misinterpreting my point. There's nothing wrong with the club saying that they are looking to improve the squad. I wasn't suggesting the club should comment on targets.

Drip feeding fans via journalists is wrong imo. Maybe Scott Burns will tell us shortly how Liam Smith is progressing!

And ....did the club not make our interest in signing Nisbet public? Pretty sure they did.
I'm not suggesting they should name players we're after I'm suggesting the club needs to communicate a bit better with the fans.
A Facebook video from training at St Andrews is all well and fine but we need a bit more than a hint from a favoured journalist on Twitter. Is all I'm saying.

Making our interest in Nisbet never worked out too well.I do understand what you are saying is frustrating not being in on what utd are doing. They did make it public about guy from ipswich and safranko haynes and nisbet but when they never came of just made some supporters even more frustrated. So really they on a loser wheather they tell us or not.
