Mellow, davies said there is a breakthru with the signing of a striker but paul warne says this is not true he could still go elsewhere. How can this be a break thru. Its just not true unless you.are saying.warne is lying? We are in the same position with this player as last week. Nowt has changed. Paul davis should have said, based on warnes interview that warne was still hopeful of signing this player but he may.be going.elsewhere. That is the hard fact. It is also arguable that he should be publishing the name of the player involved. Journalistic comments should.be based on hard facts. Davies just tells fans whay he thinks they want to hear

We can only go on what the club put out at the end of the day. If the club has not said he has signed yet the player aint signed yet. I personally dont believe he has signed yet. Not saying he wont but we have to assume the last official statement from warne is the latest on the issue. We can speculate and hope and kid ourselves on till then. The only person who knows if the player has signed is the staff member who witnesses the signature. That wont be paul davis or the man down the pub. I would guess paul Douglas is the man who will be first to know.

Paul Davis hasn't claimed that he has signed yet. Merely reporting that he has agreed to come. The clubs are to negotiate the finances (could of done this already so if he did say yes then it could be wrapped up quicker?) and that it looks like the middle of next week if it all goes to plan. He isn't claiming that we have our man, just a development.
