Obviously, this does not in any way promise to wipe the whole slate clean, he made quite clear that he would address it. I.e. do cost analysis and look at what could be done to help ease the problem (both to individuals and the country) of such huge debts.
I personally take him on trust (based on his historical record) that he will do this. I do appreciate that some will disagree but I think that he will and it will become part oft he next manifesto.
The question is how much?
So, let's assume that the party do the sums (get Abbott off that calculator!!) and decide to pledge to wipe 20% off historical student debts and that this becomes part of the next manifesto.
Isn't that dealing with it?
I don't really understand your problem here? Where did Corbyn ever promise more than that?
