You keep saying there have been no good performances & now that you will give him credit when you see them. If you really believe you have seen zero good football at any time god help us if we start to struggle. I too have supported united since 1976 & have seen every type of football in that time & you are so far off the mark on this its not real. Having different opinions is one thing but dismissing the recent performances as boring & negative is just ridiculous. I would love to know how many supporters would agree with your boring negative not good to watch assessment. Maybe I am wrong & imagining I have seen some good stuff.

The way i have seen it in recent weeks we are becoming a more attacking team. We are pushing up more, playing a more attacking formation and I'm getting more and more positive by the week. Only as recently as last season we were absolutely useless so the improvement is incredible. I used to wonder what the hell i was doing driving an hour and a half to Tannadice for 90 dire minutes and the same back. I moved closer now but the hours journey is filled with anticipation , rather than the trepidation of before.

I too have supported united for 30 years and have seen the best of times but this sure as hell aint the worst of times jjflappy. You sound like a Jim McLean attitude. We should fine the players for winning because they didnt play like Barca.

Spot on. Exactly how i felt last few years & exactly how I feel recently. Actually enjoying going again & seeing improvement for first time in ages. Also looking forward to that improvement continuing.

Patronising again, you just can't help it, believe me I've enjoyed plenty of good times supporting United and I will continue to do so when we're back where we belong and playing decent football. And you're correct Greenock is local to me, unlike Tannadice which is a 180 mile round trip.

So now you are looking forward to seeing utd playing just decent football again. Not good or great just decent. So now it seems we are not even watching decent football. You should go watch Barca as you are clearly struggling at our level

I'm gonna stick my neck out a wee bit here, not like me eh? But I think jjaflup is talking about the silky incisive possession based football we enjoyed when we had GMS Jonny Russell and Armstrong etc, which was a joy to watch. I'm the first to agree that Neilson has struggled to make us really fluid consistently over 90 minutes but you have to remember jjaflup we are still building. The quality has definitely improved, obviously not to where you want to see it but it has improved, even I can see it watching the videos of games and the odd live stream on tv.
I think a wee bit more patience might be rewarded, meantime let's enjoy dominating a league we've struggled in for 3 years and look forward to adding more quality before we have to face tougher games in the Premiership.

Nobodys saying we are at that level. How could we be? But I think what has got to me is the repeated statements that we are not playing any decent football recently. In my opinion that is a ridiculous thing to keep saying. But if we can continue improving, make it back up then we can hopefully kick on even more.

If we are looking for examples of good performances then you don't have to go very far. Alloa at home on Saturday past for instance. While the result was close we absolutely battered them and the team, quite rightly, got a great reception from the fans at the end.

Agree. Up until their freak opener we were direct, quick, sharp & creating lots of chances. The exact opposite of boring & negative
