Oh BFP. Your inability to discuss ideas, or the content of anything, and instead concentrate on denigrating the person, party, or in this case the platform is remarkable.

As for the question of whether it's strange or not, it's less than 24 hours since you said my (correct) election prediciton was strange, since you couldn't accept any alternatives to the opinion polls presented to you in the media you like.

These videos talk in some detail about polling methodology, and what might be motivating people to vote Trump - even if they don't like him. These are both questions that have been asked on here today so I thought people might be interested in hearing potential answers to them.

If you don't agree with what's in the videos then fair enough, but at least try a bit of constructive criticism, otherwise what's the point?

Didn’t you patronisingly dismiss people who use Twitter a couple of weeks ago? Yes, I rather think you did. Looks like I’m not the only one who has their favourite ‘platforms’.

Your second paragraph is just pure bullsh!t. I’ve never said I don’t accept ‘alternatives’ to polls, (whatever they would be) I said it wouldn’t be wise to dismiss them when betting on an election. As has been proved. You see, this is why I can’t be arsed to get into any detailed discussion with you, you constantly, deliberately mischaracterise the points of anyone you’re discussing with.

I listened to the Harris clip last night because I’ve listened to him discussing Skepticism and Atheism with the likes of Dawkins, he’s an interesting guy and I agreed with a lot of what he was saying. Those other guys are tedious contrarian dullards after clicks. Seen em before, don’t want to see em again .

I take it you withdrew your support for Notts between 1987-2000 because Pavis was a Tory.
The British narrative that it was the Russians? Yeah that’s what I said . IIRC He was trying to argue with scientists who were experts in poisons.

I don’t understand your point about Pavis. I assume all football chairmen are Tories except for the Forest Green guy.

I guess it would be hard for you to see it in any more complicated way than that.

Any more complicated than the Russians did it? How much more complicated could it be?

Now you might be onto something.

Back on topic, If any election in American history was going to be rigged, it would be this one. The entire media (bar Fox), wall street and the American war machine wanted a Biden victory. I can't blame Trump for calling foul play.

I don't know if I patronisingly dismissed Twitter, but I did say that it encourages superficial debate and leads to people cementing their ideas by only getting one set of opinions. I still think that. I'll happily accept that there are some good people to follow on Twitter, and have already accepted that there's a lot of dross on YouTube, but I'm saying that if you look for the right people you can find interesting, detailed discussions that are hard to come by on other platforms.

I didn't want to mischaracterise your position about opinion polls. I genuinely thought from our exchanges on here that you thought a clear victory for Biden was on the cards, and that you were sceptical about my prediction that it would go down to the wire. You even quoted it back at me in inverted commas, saying we'll find out soon, so I'm pretty sure I'm not misrepresenting you there, but will happily accept clarification.

I actually posted the wrong (shortened) version of one of the videos by a pollster (not sure if he's a dullard or a dick) who correctly predicted Trump winning in Florida when all the other polls had Biden winning it. This is the longer version https://youtu.be/0BM_-Lqrm7U and I found his methodology quite interesting.

I can't see why Wall Street would want to see the back of Trump - he's given them nothing but tax cuts and deregulation.

I think Trump calling foul play was a pre-planned strategy, knowing that postal votes would go against him.

One theory bandied about regarding Wall St. support for Biden was that he seemed more likely than Trump to provide a further hefty stimulus programme to put money into Americans' pockets so they could spend it into the economy supporting US companies.

Looks like he's intent on following through and taking it to the supreme court, which could be a good thing in that it'll he keep his mind occupied for the foreseeable and lessen the potential for Trump doing something crazy in his final months in office.

I'm far from convinced though that the world is going to be a safer place with Biden as president and it's probably not good news for the UK in terms of a trade deal. However, it will be interesting to see how the woke/antifa/BLM nutters react when they realise Biden isn't going to give in to their every demand, which might expose them for the loonies they really are to those who believe they are a benign force.
