“A lot of passes from defenders to Reeves and back again.”

We are playing higher up the pitch this half now on the edge of our own half and we are having some possession but we are a bit slow in getting the ball forward to the strikers. Quick forward passing is in the opposing half was a stand out against Torquay. It's a bit more Ardley-esk like lots of passing between defenders and midfielders.

So if we all say on here he is a great player he might actually become one? Got it.

I meant the manager actually. Like he tells us about other players in our team, Kyle Wootton being the latest example in the lead up to this Match

Close from Enzio... thats better but has to be expected... come on Notts!!! and then another awful corner... their keepers gloves will be wore out collecting all the terrible balls into the box

Surprised they took Ruben off. I would have pulled Wootton off. Might have damaged his confidence even more though I suppose.

So am I, given that he's the only one who produced a goal.

I've stood up for IB so far and I continue to do so, because it's too early to judge what he will achieve when he's had proper time to implement his ideas and recruit players to suit. However, one thing I am looking for from him is more imagination than his predecessors when it comes to handling the more gifted players.

Coaches who play safe and sacrifice gifted players for defensive water carriers are ten a penny - there's a long production line of unimaginative 'coaching by numbers' clones with top UEFA qualifications.

I'm looking for IB to be the coach who thinks outside the box and leaves match-winners on the pitch when we're drawing 1-1 with Altrincham and need a bit of inspiration to tip the balance our way.

Yes, he didn't need to do it. What if we won another free-kick around the box? I didn't like how he had to seek out IB and Ross for acknowledgment when he came off - for his first game in a while he did OK and it was him that saved us from losing again.

Today, he was forced to bring these players back, really. I haven't looked through this thread yet - Enzio messed up a lot but looked for the ball more than Wootton, Knight and Knowles, all of whom messed up all the time too. But I wonder if there will be more anti-Enzio moaning than the other three combined.

Another failing should be clear - the centre-halves and full backs are left with the fall at their feet a hell of a lot. How often does our midfield general move off the ball to take it from them? This is absolutely what the holding midfield playing should be doing when we're in possession. But he hardly ever shows, leaving the likes of Enzio, Knight, Wootton, Knowles to receive it with markers all around them. And he doesn't show to receive the ball from them either.

Why on so many occasions do we make scoring a goal seem impossible?

It's got to be kitchen sink time now last five. I don't care if we concede and lose let's go for the second we need to win.
