Told you I'm superstitious: lotto. I went back to do something I hadn't completed on Wednesday. Failed on lotto Wednesday was hoping today my luck would have changed for the millers but not to be. They say 3rd time lucky so hope that's tonight's lotto!

So that’s the reason why you left it until 90+ minutes to bring on Ogbene and Ladapo?

Maybe substitutions a tad earlier might have paid dividends?

So we had enough energy to prevent the equaliser?

    No?

Your apologists say “ you’re learning from mistakes”

    Really?
regarding the subs , agree with you . Should have been on a lot sooner. Ten games in 30 days .

As I said the other week, COVID got us up now it’s got us down. 12 games in such a short time would always take its toll on our squad.

I agree. Im 53 and seen many promotions and relegations but this one is different. There is a far bigger issue at stake and that is 'going to the match again'.Wycombe fans have NEVER supported their team in the only season in the Championship.Liverpool fans never watched their team win AND lose the Premier League. This has been a 'false' season because it has missed what makes it.We would not have gone up without COVID and PPG never felt like a true promotion because it wasn't.

We had the chances to win this match but without a true poacher we have been unable to convert.I thought we played well and were unlucky not to hold on to the lead. However we were drained of energy in the last ten minutes, understandably with the punishing fixture list the EFL enforced on us this last month. If Warney does stay he should demand proper financial backing for next season. If only TS had invested in the team this January we would be playing in this division again next season.

Add another dimension to it. Derby got 1 point from their last 7 games and stayed up.

My mind keeps going back to our missed pens v Norwich and Millwall + the appalling referee decisions at home to Boro and away at Barnsley.

Then the 2 sets of five game losing runs which were to ultimately prove or downfall, particularly the Coventry and Birmingham games, where, in the case of the latter we succumbed to a late late goal.

Wycombe could say if we hadn’t got the late winner there at the start, or Derby hadn’t scored a late winner at Wycombe, they’d have stayed up.

We are never meant to have a fairytale end to a season. Just like the end of the 1982/83 season when we needed to win at Leeds but drew 2-2.
Like 1972/73 when we needed a point to stay up on our last 3 games but lost them all, and Halifax won their last 4 games, the last being 10 days after our fixtures had been completed.

On reflection it was a fairytale end to the season. ………GRIMM.

Thing about that 82/83 season was that it was to be 18 years before we got back up to level 2.

I remember that last game against Leeds very well, it felt like they were playing to lose but we still couldn't beat them.

I don't think Cardiff put a massive effort in today either, they even took Moore off.
