    Via Dolorosa:

The Via Dolorosa is a narrow, stone path believed to be the route Jesus took to His Crucifixion nearly 2000 years ago. It is also known as "The Way of The Cross" or "The Way of Sorrow" and is one of Christendom's most sacred sites. Each year thousands of Christian pilgrims visit and walk along this path.

    East Jerusalem, The Old city.

This time for the ladies ,traditional style Arab dresses.

Two young Jews walking through the market to get to the Wailing wall, In the Old city. The Wailing Wall (as it is known in the West) or Western Wall (derived from Hebrew: הַכּוֹתֶל הַמַּעֲרָבִי‎, romanized: HaKotel HaMa'aravi, lit. 'the western wall', often shortened to the Kotel , is an ancient limestone wall in the Old City of Jerusalem. The wall was originally erected as part of the expansion of the Second Jewish Temple begun by Herod the Great, the Wall is the holiest place where Jews are permitted to pray.

Walking through the old city market area (Suk) the stones have become so slippery ,polished over countless years.

East Jerusalem ,the old city. In the Market

Carvings from Olive Trees ,mostly from the West Bank and the area near Bethlehem, The word Bethlehem ,is composed of the hebrew words Beit= House Le'cham = Bread. Bethlehem the House of Bread.

Backgammon is one of the oldest known board games. The object of the game is to move your pieces along the board's triangles and off the board before your opponent does. It is quiet popular with the Arab shop keepers. In the photo one player not in the photo has lost while the victor is asking for yet another game.

Again the SHUK, the market in the old city. Shop keepers wait but really now no tourists

BT: You know every 5 steps one of those lads calls you ''Come in please, what do you want, come inside, please, just look!'' Maybe best to do the 'Quickstep.' Before their shop ''Slow, slow, then quick, quick, slow?'

Doves are stunning, like little bronze stony statues.
