1 shot on target 2nd half sez it all.

Whatever it is, IB needs to start backing up his talk.

-Outside the playoffs a good way into the season
-A long distance off the top, having to rely on winning games in hand to even close the gap slightly
-Unable to play at anywhere near a decent level any from home
-Unable to drop players when they're out of form as we don't have anywhere near enough depth in key positions (i.e striker, holding midfield etc)

And on top of all that, we now seem completely incapable of keep clean sheets, even when we've got 5 defenders on the pitch.

If Burchnall doesn't buck his ideas up and start to tackle these issues, which honestly I'm gradually losing confidence in him to do so, it'll be just another season of playoff mediocrity, alarmingly reminiscent of last season.
All fair comment. Birchnall’s interview the other night suggested he didn’t really know why we’re so poor away and today’s performance backs that up.

As others have said, it seems we need to mix it up a bit more, but we don’t have the players to do it. Bromley’s goal, as at ML was from a goalmouth scramble. We don’t score those.

Well a Staggy friend of mine did say to me " your not allowed out of that league till you've served your time ". It looks like he's right. No way is this side good enough to get promotion.. Back to the drawing board brother's....

Stallard tearing into them on the radio... " As bad as a second half performance as he has seen all season... Seems Notts are going backwards!! "

Very disappointing but not the end of the world it's being made to sound like.

No one is going to want to sign any of our so called stars on the last 2 games showing

My man Stall is bang on the money.

Second half was simply not acceptable. Not even close to being good enough for a side seeking promotion. Expect to hear similar from IB.

The importance of a home tie in the playoffs is huge. And yes we will finish in the playoffs.

We had 3 defeats on the bounce earlier in the season and we couldn't afford another patch like that this season.

1 effort on target in the second half against a team we desperately needed to take points off. I really like Birchnall but that's not acceptable if you want to push towards the top end of the league.

Time for a plan B away from home.

Think he could do with taking a leaf out of Southgate's book in that it's obvious there's better players who suit the role Roberts is being shoehorned into and that the system is suffering because of that.
We don't seem to have the consistency for auto and I doubt we are good enough to win the P/O's against some of the teams who will be in there. Still, here's hoping, on we go.
