I've never heard of "Elusive Butterfly" but Bob Lind, Val Doonican, Judy Page, Jane Morgan, Petula Clark, Cher, Billy Walker, Richard Anthony, The Bachelors, Hugh Masekala, Graham Bonney, Lou Christie and Johnny Mathis all released a version in 1966 on a single or album.

No wonder I have problems with people guessing the wrong artists, especially in the 1960s and early 70s when it was common to have so many 'cover' versions. I think my Mum must have had a VD album that featured this song because it was almost a soundtrack to my childhood days.

I think I have plenty of material. The key is to make them teasing but gettable. Most of the songs I'm using now (maybe 75%) I've already used before but as I've kept a record of all the quizzes I'm careful to not use the same lyrics twice.

It's prepped and ready to go Lincs. Won't post it at the weekend as I'm not online much to check answers etc. The question is, who's expertise will the year suit? Surely I wouldn't be cruel enough to stray into the 2000s! Not likely as I want the quiz to end before we get into the Premiership
