I don’t think Ardley was unlucky with the Notts play off final. Rawlinson and Lacey had formed a great understanding at the back but he brought in Turner for the play offs. Nothing against Turner, but he had an absolute mare against Harrogate. Notts were very poor that day and the manager looked on helplessly, hands in pocket. I saw nothing motivational from him at all!

It was catch 22 situation, Turner had a blinder in the semi final against Barnet so if he was left out of the final and we lost the fans would be saying why change the side?
