Sounds like both club's have come to an agreement and McCart is coming back to the NYS according to the Yorkshire Post .

Not according to the Yorkshire Post or Paul Davis either. He’s staying at Barnsley.

Read through this thread. There are many probable reasons why.

If we can't recall him it was an insane decision.

Just as a reminder, we were already short at the back when he left on loan. From memory we signed Nombe that sort of time too?

Think it’s called balancing the books like Matt Taylor said at the time, one of the reason players left on loan . plus to get game time which he thought would be limited at that time for those two and Bola . Btw Bola couldn’t get a game at Bradford in the end last season in league 2 . Like someone posted if everyone stays fit it ain’t even a talking point .

He went out on loan on 31/8 just 2 days after playing the whole game in the 6-1 thrashing at Stoke and 2 days before the 2-1 win at home to Norwich with a fully fit Humphreys and Blackett in defence and Morrison on the bench. Make of that what you will but if Barnsley were willing to take him (on whatever terms) I guess it made the decision easier.

Like many have said, hindsight is a wonderful thing. Is there one gamble that MT took in the Summer/Early season that paid off? I certainly wouldn't want to follow him on the Black Jack table! To be fair, who would have even thought Kioso would have a blinder at Posh and be made CLUB CAPTAIN!

His biggest gamble, the £1m signing of Nombe, which I think was a major contribution to him losing his job, is looking like the only one that might pay off in the long run.
