The sycophants seem to dominate this site. Anybody who still thinks this chairman is putting personal money into this club is absolutely deluded. Give him his due he's still a smart businessman. It's us supporters who continue to be gullible.

Timbertop I think TS has gone beyond his sell by date, but your comments above are wrong. He has put in £2.9m in the last 10 years plus there is an additional shareholder loan of £0.9m, so total funding of £3.8m Its all in the accounts see the link https://twitter.com/christoph_21/sta...O4lQ8z13w&s=19

Does that include the sponsorship money from his other businesses HPRM?

CAM wouldn't they spend that money anyway as part of their marketing spend? Are there tax reasons why sponsoring in such a way benefits those companies? Not deflecting away from the fact you are correct it is a valid way that TS has input more money, just wondering what the full picture is

Yes, generally speaking sports sponsorship is tax deductible for the donating company

Cam that does not include the sponsorship money, from his company, which is tax deductible. In most years this has been a figure that equates to the rent the club is charged by RU estates for the club using the stadium, roughly £1m per annum but in some years it has been more than that.

Thanks. Just because it's tax deductible it doesn't mean it's free, it just means that it's income he doesn't pay tax on so on giving 1m means he really gives 600k out of his own pocket and 400k out of the tax mans pocket (if his tax band is 40%). I also don't disagree that AES will spend marketing money anyway but they don't strike me as a company would be spending the likes of what they are 'giving' to RUFC.

    So, where's the debt?

Because the club has never made a profit under his ownership.

Timbertop clearly thinks that money TS has made through his other businesses isn't his 'personal money' but must belong to someone else.
