Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony claims the club had a deal pretty well
done, to sign 23 year old defender Lewis Brunt from Leicester City.
But Wrexham FC came in & hijacked the deal, by offering the player £3,000 a week more
in wages, than Peterborough Utd had offered the player, so the player signed for Wrexham.

Mansfield Town were also interested in the player, after manager Nigel Clough coached the
    player last season.
Clough said, Mansfield Town & Peterborough Utd were neck & neck to sign Brunt, but
Wrexham came in with a wage offer, that blew both clubs out of the water.

Got to give Peterborough United's scouting team some respect, they have made the club some good
money from transfers from the club.

    They have indeed.
Pboro also seem to have the ‘Barnsley’ aura about them too.
If you want one of our players it’s serious cash but you,ll get a good player

    Reading FC

Reading FC have not had any incoming transfers for the new season.

Reading manager Ruben Selles confirmed that the club 'cannot' get any players into the
club, until the takeover situation is resolved.
The club are currently under a transfer embargo, which normally limits them to only signing
free agents or loans, however they cannot complete any deals until the club is sold by owner
    Dai Yongge.

Former Wycombe Wanderers chairman Rob Couhig is currently in pole position, to finalise a
    deal to buy the club.

    Manager Ruben Selles said -
The EFL have said that the club cannot get players in, until a takeover is happening, & a budget
    is confirmed.

EFL allowed Reading FC to bring in 21 year old winger Chem Campbell, on loan from
Wolverhampton Wanders until January 2025, even though the takeover of the club
    has not been settled.

Why a bold statement, to lose a 18 goal striker from the club, could affect the
    clubs promotion chances next season.
