Watching that penalty again, I'm going to guess and say the Meslier was pre-empting diving to the right...and then couldn't adjust quick enough. It wasn't that far from him, so is the only thing that I can think of for how slow he was to react. 🙄
Both holding mids now injured. Can only hope Gruev's is a quick recovery one. 🤐

I agree Oz. If you look at the replay, his weight was on his left foot (our right view) ready to go the other way - and being a fairly tall person, it was not possible for him to get down low to his left quick enough given his internal movement was already going the other way.
He has a poor penalty saving record - but is he being given specific training to maximise his chances of saving more? From my viewing, this is an area that the club needs to improve rather than rely on luck.
Develop him to appear to be unbeatable from the spot - and you may improve his luck. There are plenty of GKs who gave this impression when they were playing (and some are playing now). It may only be a small psychological element, but it could also be a big psychological element at the same time, it is all about perspective.

I thought they looked the more dangerous all game. they were a bit like us up front get into position and too scared to shoot holding the ball and wasting chances sounds familiar. We just don't have any creativity as gnonto was making his own. Joseph just doesn't get any service whatsoever. Defensively we say it every game we are poor.
Just don't see anything changing Norwich were ok but there for the taking.

Think we looked good at times too but had periods where the first touch or passes were too sloppy and not good enough. We had several good chances that went begging.

I would think itÂ’s because of the quick turnaround away match with the Mackems Rev. Point away to a team unbeaten in think 17 home matches is OK. This is a tough week before International break, having to change midfield after 20 didnÂ’t help tho the replacement is looking a good signing as he settles in.

Yeah agree that is the way Farke thinks , 10-15 mins to go he takes our attacking sting out of the game and settles for the point when we looked the more likely to score.

Under Bielsa that just wouldn't have happened , different coaches with different ideas but I know which way I would rather go.

Grab 3 points Friday great , lose Friday and its 1 pt from 6.

Fine margins but prefer to edge on the side of caution.

Fine margins but Farke prefers to edge on the side of caution (is what last sentence should have said).
