I'd just give the edge to this one. Freeze the film on the exact point of impact. It was still a volley (direct from a corner!) of course, but he let it drop so low it took amazing timing, technique and body control to hit that ball dropping from the side into the opposing corner. Such a difficult skill.

I'd go for this one as well. Not only did he time his run to perfection, he kept his eye on the ball and connected perfectly. George Abbott might even have the top three places in our 'goal of the season' competition when you add the one at Peterborough.

Agree, but plus he makes up so much ground to get into the position as well. No marker on him because he started so far back. All that plus how sweetly he struck it.

As for after half time - they had three fresh players and pushed us back, then we worked back into it and scored, then we saw the game out with lots of minutes into legs. Yes not as fluid as the first half but we were winning.
