Maynard tactically inept against yet another superior manager. I was pleasantly surprised at our first half display, it was only down to yet more profligacy that we weren't ahead. Yet we reverted back to type in the second half, completely lost control and momentum of the game, lacked any sort of spark, and still, Maynard had no answer at all.

Looking at our hard run-in of fixtures, you would have to say "That's it - just forget it for another year!"

But Notts will probably surprise us with an incredible win and then lose with more s*** performances like today.

We can’t have this reaction after every defeat.

The time for reflection will come at the end of the season, but the bottom line is that we keep coming up a fraction short in all of the big games. We’ve improved from last season (given that we’ve already matched last season’s points tally), but are losing out when it comes to the fine margins. It would also help if we stopped giving such bad goals away in these tight games.

We were up for the fight we missed our chances thats football and id say a draw would have been fair.
