For those who've not seen him in action yet. Quite a skillful, dual footed player.
Saw this yesterday and I've got to be honest my first thought was - how many of those chances are actually able to be converted at L2 level? Most are defended easily.

We have not finished that high for donkeys years be careful what you wish for.

Same could be said for Maynard the bloke got mocked but we could very well end up with worse and with the Italian Laptop running wild too im glad for Maynard sake he isnt here.
Last season Notts had the 2nd best away record in the division but struggled at home
    .
If I remember correctly, Curle presided over a great away record going 22 (?) games unbeaten. Unfortunately , the system didn't work so well at home with opposition teams employing a low press and happy for Notts to play possession football. Boucard being the key CM operative.
Notts missed out on the play offs after a final day 2-4 defeat v Bury at ML.
Ironically, a draw would have seen Notts qualify and trying to win the game after drawing level at 2-2 saw them beaten.

I ,personally, didn't want KC after Mad Dog was sacked but he won the fans over and did a great job !

We were talking to Graham Alexander , at Wimbledon , before the PO 2nd leg.
He praised Notts ' away record and said a one goal defecit was not a problem.
Conceding after just 8 minutes though was a major blow.

I wish Kouyar all the very best and hope he proves me wrong...but would MKDongs, Walsall, Bristol Rovers or Chesterfield have made this signing? Absolutely not. Bringing someone in so we get games postponed during internationals is a very weak argument.
Chesterfield have shown their intent by signing Dylan Markanday. He had a great loan spell there and Leyton Orient before his release by Blackburn Rovers.

We won our last two games that season we beat Wycombe in injury time away and won easily last game too.

Still a record of 45% win ratio is very good if the results were flipped around he'd have stayed im certain of that.

Alexander is correct one goal you can comeback from & history of play off games shows this.

I have no gripes though as I didnt think we were good enough for promotion.

Impressive signing that. I thought he'd end up in L1. I can see Chesterfield being up there along with MKD.

I just hope we show a similar level of intent this summer.

Apologies for that lapse of memory.
From memory, I plucked out the Bury game as being decisive, recalling the equaliser at 2-2 and then losing 2-4. The game was an early kick off at 12.30.
I do recall shaking Curle's hand in the Pavis Stand and offering sympathy on just missing out on the Play Offs.

That would have been at the final home game which was against Colchester United.
The Bury defeat , proving crucial.
