Sometimes mon ami, I just smile at the hypocrisy and bare-faced cheek of it all, and then I remember, it's all a big game, nothing they say is meant to be taken seriously, except by mugs.

Since 2001, Palestinian militants have launched tens of thousands of rocket and mortar attacks on Israel from the Gaza Strip as part of the continuing Israeli–Palestinian conflict. The attacks, widely condemned for targeting civilians, have been described as terrorism by the United Nations, the European Union, and Israeli officials, and are defined as war crimes by human rights groups Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch.

But the people in Israel are happy, with Israel coming in at number 8th in the www.itv.com/news report ''Worlds happiest country's''

    https://www.itv.com/news/2025-03-20/...e-does-uk-rank

This year's World Happiness Report saw the UK's happiness sink to its lowest level since 2017, coming in at number 23 on the list.

I'm amazed the Israelis are happy whilst Netanyahu slaughters and displaces hundreds of thousands of Palestinians.

You have more chance of getting run over and killed by a car than you have of being killed by a freedom fighter's rocket Balan...

From 2004 to 2014, rocket attacks have killed 27 Israeli civilians, 5 foreign nationals, 5 IDF soldiers, and at least 11 Palestinians[11] and injured more than 1,900 people.[12] Medical studies in Sderot, the Israeli city closest to the Gaza Strip, have documented a post-traumatic stress disorder incidence among young children of almost 50%, as well as high rates of depression and miscarriage.[13][14][15] A public opinion poll conducted in March 2013 found that a majority of Palestinians do not support firing rockets at Israel from the Gaza Strip, with only 38% favouring their use.[16] Another poll conducted in September 2014 found that 80% of Palestinians support firing rockets against Israel, if it does not allow unfettered access to Gaza.[17] The rocket attacks have caused flight cancellations at Ben Gurion Airport.[18]

I'll bet Disneyland, Sea World & Universal Studios are rubbing their hands with glee. Not.

Britain has updated its travel advice for the US, warning visitors they could face ‘arrest or detention’.

The US ‘enforces entry rules strictly’ and those who do not abide by them could be detained, the Foreign Office says.

‘You should comply with all entry, visa and other conditions of entry,’ the department’s new advice reads.

‘The authorities in the US set and enforce entry rules strictly. You may be liable to arrest or detention if you break the rules.’

Earlier guidance that was in place in early February simply read: ‘The authorities in the US set and enforce entry rules.’

Lammy heckled by Tory MP's, well he would be wouldn't he?

Making a statement to the House of Commons on the breakdown of the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, Mr Lammy said the resumption of Israeli military action in Gaza had resulted in an “appalling loss of life”.

He said: “On the night of March 18, Israel launched air strikes across Gaza. A number of Hamas figures were reportedly killed, but it’s been reported that over 400 Palestinians were killed in missile strikes and artillery barrages. The majority of them were women and children.

“This appears to have been the deadliest single day for Palestinians since the war began. This is an appalling loss of life, and we mourn the loss of every civilian.”

Mr Lammy also confirmed a British national was amongst those wounded after a UN compound was hit on Wednesday.

He said: “The Government calls for a transparent investigation and for those responsible to be held to account.”

"Counterterrorism police are joining the investigation into the Heathrow fire. The airport has shut until midnight after a huge blaze at a nearby electrical substation wiped out its power. Some 1,351 flights have been cancelled. Ross Clark has the details below."

Well, our numpty politicians will keep poking the Russian bear won't they.

I like the latest Israeli policy, for every hostage the scum kill they will annex part of Gaza, one proposal is 5% for every murder, so kill 10 of the hostages and that's half of Gaza gone. In the meantime I believe the total number of IDF soldiers and reservists allocated to the eradication of the Hamas scum is now 400,000.

I'm still wondering just why the scum won't release the hostages, just what do they hope to achieve ?

UNIFIL in a statement says it is alarmed by the possible escalation of violence following rocket fire on Israel; the prime minister and defense minister instruct the IDF to respond with force; Hezbollah denies responsibility for rockets. Maybe or could any green Martians be guilty?? Is it possible?

Under the November ceasefire deal, Hezbollah was to have no weapons in southern Lebanon. But its good to know 'UNIFIL' is alarmed by the possible escalation of violence. Just like my 98 year old grand dad in Rishton, and of course Alice 97 y, a member of the mothers Union, also from Rishton.
